Opt-out Notification Tweet (Optional)

For campaigns that enforce explicit opt-outs, at the discretion of the brand, Arrow can confirm a user’s opt-out request with an automated @mention, triggering a notification (pursuant to the user’s settings). All automated responses are sent as promoted-only @mentions.

Content Requirements

  • Out-out notification Tweets will always begin with a user’s @handle and are automatically inserted for you. You will see @HandleToReplyTo as a placeholder in the Opt-Out notification Tweet preview as you draft your message.
  • Do not @mention any other accounts in the Opt-Out notification Tweet without written approval from the account owner. NOTE: an account that is included in an Opt-Out notification Tweet as an @mention will receive ALL Opt-Out notification Tweets sent to opted in users, flooding the account’s Tweet feed.
  • Media can be added to the Opt-Out notification Tweet as a video, gif, image, or website card by selecting one of the 4 media icons.

For more details on the allowable media specifications, visit Twitter's  Advertiser creative specifications page.

280 Characters Max

  • The mention of @HandleToReplyTo counts as 17 characters, which leaves 263 characters for the rest of the copy. The available character count is updated as the Opt-Out notification Tweet copy is inserted, along with the media.
  • Any URL added to the Opt-Out notification Tweet copy will count as 24 characters, regardless of actual length.
