Instant Opt-in Notification Tweet
An instant opt-in notification Tweet is immediately sent to the user to confirm their opt-in, triggering a notification (pursuant to the user’s settings). Automated responses are sent as promoted-only @mentions.

Content Requirements
- An instant opt-in notification Tweet will always begin with a user’s @handle and is automatically inserted for you. You will see @HandleToReplyTo as a placeholder in the instant opt-in notification Tweet preview as you draft your message.
- Do not @mention any other accounts in the instant opt-in notification Tweet without written approval from the account owner. NOTE: an account that is included in an instant opt-in notification Tweet as an @mention will receive ALL instant opt-in notification Tweets sent to opted in users, flooding the account’s Tweet feed.
- Media can be added to the instant opt-in notification Tweet as a video, gif, image, or website card by selecting one of the 4 media icons.
For more details on the allowable media specifications, visit Twitter's Advertiser creative specifications page.
280 Characters Max
- The mention of @HandleToReplyTo counts as 17 characters, which leaves 263 characters for the rest of the copy. The available character count is updated as the instant opt-in notification Tweet copy is inserted, along with the media.
- Any URL added to the instant opt-in notification Tweet copy will count as 24 characters, regardless of actual length.
